We started Path Lab Supplies to close a gap we saw across Mohs labs and pathology practices: too many generic specimen discs and presses that weren’t built around how frozen sections actually get cut.

Our approach

Every product we carry is chosen or engineered around one goal: a consistent, orientable margin on the first cut. That means specimen discs and chucks fitted to the cryostats labs already run — Leica, Tanner, IEC, and Avantik — and the True Margin™ device, designed to remove guesswork from specimen alignment.

We work closely with our partner lab, MohsPros Histology, and with Mohs Precision Tools, the makers of the True Margin Tissue Press, so the products we sell are informed by real bench feedback, not just a catalog.

Our application

Our advantage comes from real-world Mohs laboratory experience. We’re a team of Mohs-trained laboratory technicians who have spent more than 15 years setting up, operating, and supporting working Mohs labs across the country—from Miami and Texas to practices throughout California.

Our experience began at UCLA, where our founder received specialized training and helped develop the Mohs laboratory program, followed by work establishing the Mohs lab at USC Keck School of Medicine.

We understand the demands of a Mohs lab because we work in them every day ourselves. From cryostat setup and frozen section preparation to equipment selection, workflow, and day-to-day laboratory operations, our recommendations are grounded in hands-on experience.
